The New World

The world has changed
I do not know how
Restless in every act
Causing uniform sorrow

The world has changed
People pay for water
Gorging on worldly junk
We’re all getting fatter

The world has changed
Honking is the new fad
Road rage claims so many
Pedestrians are going mad

The world has changed
Technology is our friend
We alienate loved ones
And stand alone in the end

The world has changed
Consumerism is the norm
Gone are the wonderful days
When simplicity was uniform

The world is changing
And it will never stop
Not until our civilization
Comes to the edge of a steep drop

  1. @Sanju: Thanks. 🙂

    @Sonali: Agreed with you. 🙂

@Paro: No dear, this is not an old one. I don’t recollect writing something on similar lines either. But if you do happen to find out where you’ve read something similar (written by me) please send me the link. 🙂
